FULL FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR SCHOOLS
For Primary Schools participating in the Daily Mile, this non-competitive and fun activity will result in children returning to class alert and ready to learn, being more aware of their health and will also improve the child’s fitness and contribute towards a healthy body weight. The Daily Mile takes place in 15 short minutes in the outdoors come rain or shine, and requires no additional staff training, no PE kits or changing time, and no setting up or packing away.
Some schools are faced with the struggle of facilities not being big or safe enough to be able to deliver this initiative successfully. Thankfully, there is Government funding (part and full) available to Primary Schools, which should be allocated for the installation of an all-weather Daily Mile Track – meaning your school can participate in this cause and benefit from a brand new outdoor facility.
A SIMPLE INITIATIVE HELPING CHILDREN BE HAPPIER & HEALTHIER
The Daily Mile is a fantastic new initiative that has been introduced to UK Primary Schools to help improve the physical, social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of our children. Children are encouraged to run or jog at their own pace each day for 15 minutes, in the fresh air with their friends.
THE SOLUTION
Daily Mile tracks are most commonly installed using child-friendly Artificial Grass, and tracks can be any size, shape or colour – making it the perfect solution for schools around the UK.
Surreal Surfaces are the leading Artificial Grass installation company serving the Lincolnshire and Newark area, and are able to supply and install a high quality, low maintenance and hard wearing Daily Mile Track, tailored exactly to your schools requirements – creating a WOW Factor all year around!
Schools can get creative with colours, shapes and sizes – we can even insert start/finish lines, along with letters and numbers along the way!
Surreal Surfaces can supply and install Daily Mile Tracks using Wet Pour EPDM – which is an ideal, porous, and hard-wearing surface. Wet Pour is a hard rubber surface unlike Artificial Grass, but still has a CFH rating making it ideal for schools.
Installations can be carried out in half-term time when booked in advance.
